From pieces of paper to "peaces of joy"
I have been somewhat creative my entire life. I grew up cross stitching and giving away most of my creations. I loved to see a blank piece of material and making the first stitch was always fun for me.
Three years ago I was being treated to a birthday dinner with two very good friends. One of them mentioned I should learn how to make cards. I had been a scrapbooker for years, but didn't know much about stamping. A friend came over and brought every bit of her stamping supplies as she was expecting her first baby and new she didn't have time to for this anymore. She showed me a few techniques and I went crazy. I thought about it all the time and learned new ideas from stores, magazines, the internet and my mind! I began to realize that creating was a very beneficial outlet for everyday stress.
My paper crafting abilities have certainly improved and I continue to love designing and creating anything new. I am very pleased with the success of my Etsy business and hope to continue to grow my business with new designs and products each year. I believe one of the most gratifying aspects of having an online business is communicating with my customers. Many of them tell me what they will be using my products for and one of them recently shared with me that the invitations I was making for her daughter's first birthday was particularly a special occasion as her daughter had experienced many health problems since birth. I often feel blessed when I create and my closest friends know that when I can make and design something, I am happy and in a wonderful place.
I hope you enjoy knowing a little bit more about me. I really love what I'm doing on Etsy. Please visit my shop often and enjoy my pieces of paper which to me have become "peaces of joy".
