Making stuff
I've always loved art. Making things with my hands started when I was little living in Mexico. My uncle is a carpenter and I would spend hours with him in his workshop. He let me play with little scraps of wood and I would aimlessly hammer nails into bits of wood. The smell of wood reminds me of home.
I think pretty much all of my family introduced me to some sort of craft, but what I love the most is sewing. Making something useful and lovely and a little quirky is what I strive for.
So I guess it was only a matter of time before I stumbled upon Etsy and I've been hooked ever since. What I love most is knowing that my creations have gone all over the world. Things that I've put time and effort into that are useful for someone thousands of miles away. There are pieces of me everywhere!
So when I'm not sewing or scavenging for fabric, I'm loving life with my wonderfully weird husband and equally wonderfully weird 3 year old son. :)
