Un joli jour, je déjeunais à Forney, au Texas, et j’ai vu un magasin intéressant. J’ai réalisé que j’étais entré dans un monde de rêves quand j’ai franchi la porte. C’était fantastique et c’est devenu mon endroit où aller pour l’inspiration et le plaisir pendant de nombreuses semaines.
La rumeur disait que le propriétaire allait fermer le magasin. Elle était fatiguée des nuits tardives et de trop travailler. Quand je lui ai demandé pourquoi elle fermerait, elle m’a regardé et m’a dit: « Pourquoi ne l’achetez-vous pas »? J’ai réfléchi une minute et j’ai dit oui. Elle m’a remis les clés et est sortie par la porte. C’était il y a 10 ans.
Nous avons connu de nombreux hauts et bas depuis. La seule chose qui est restée cependant, c’est mon amour du métier. Pouvoir sauvegarder vos souvenirs et les avoir pour revenir en arrière et regarder à tout moment est fantastique.
Si jamais quelqu’un me demandait pourquoi, je devrais dire... il suffit de remettre à un enfant un livre de ses aventures que vous avez faites et de regarder dans les yeux de cet enfant. Après tout, une image vaut 1000 mots.

One pretty day, I was out having lunch in Forney, Texas and saw an interesting shop. I realized I had stepping into a world of dreams when I went through the door. It was fantastic and became my place to go for inspiration and fun for many many weeks.
Rumor had it that the owner was going to close the shop. She was tired of late nights and working too much. When I asked her about why she would close, she looked at me and said..."Why don't you just buy it"? I thought for a minute and said yes. She handed me the keys and walked out the door. That was 10 years ago.
We've been through many ups and downs since then. The one thing that has stayed though, is my love of the craft. To be able to save your memories and have them to go back and look at any time you want is fantastic.
If anyone ever asks me why, I'd have to say....just hand a child a book of their adventures you have made and look into that child's eyes. After all, a picture is worth 1000 words.
