Napkins with initials

Embroidered Napkins:

Embroidering initials on household linen is an ancient custom originating in the noble and aristocratic families of Europe.

The idea was that the linen in the house was marked or identified as belonging to the owner or its family.

Initials of the names/surnames or noble titles belonging of a male-line ancestor are usually used (typically, if one is descended from a titled family, that person would place a crown corresponding to the family's rank above the initials).

This custom still continues today in the families that follow it, helping to reinforce the spirit of belonging to a particular House, family or institution, and serving as a constant element of collective pride.

This custom was, over time, replicated by families of the upper bourgeoisie throughout the world and is now more widespread.

Our project aims to help recover this tradition, and we have had interest from customers of all ages and backgrounds - we try to make it accessible, using quality materials of easy maintenance, allowing the use of our products not only to mark special moments, but also in everyday life.
