The curry tree (MURRAYA KOENIGII), also known as KARIVEPALLAI, KARIVEMBU, KARIVEPAKU or KADIPATTA, is a kind of tree. It is found mostly in hot climates and is a native plant of India. The leaves of the curry tree are called curry leaves or sweet Neem leaves. Leaves are used for both medicinal and culinary applications. They’re highly aromatic and have a unique flavor with notes of citrus.

Remember that the tree often loses all its leaves during winter. Do not worry, it is not dead, just resting. Don't throw it out! The tree should be grown in rich, well-drained soil in full sunlight or partial shade. It does well when grown in a pot. If it is grown outdoor, it should be located in an area that does not receive a lot of wind.

Plant Care:

OUTDOOR: Temp above 50F
Water the plants daily.
Shower them once or twice a month.
Spray neem oil (if not available spray turmeric water) once in 2 or 3 months if you find any insects.
Plant food or fertilizer of your choice once in 6 months.
Make sure water drains properly from the container.
Avoid re-potting every year by choosing correct or big containers.

INDOOR:
Keep the plant near window where it can get enough sunlight.
Avoid keeping directly under heater vents.
Water only when the soil is dry (Usually once in 5 days or 7 days)
