Carnivorous plant, tropical pitcher plant, bare roots: Nepenthes jamban babyplant
Tropical highland climbing pitcher plant endemic to north of Sumatra. Discovered in 2004 and described in 2006. Really rare and atractive plant. The word jamban means in Indonesian "toilet" and it really matches with the shape of pitchers. The pitchers can grow really large in natural habitat. Often consumes bigger pray, even smaller mammals.
Origin of plants: These plants are from meristem cultures delivered from mothering plants obtained from BE. Natural habitats was not disturbed.
We are offering young and vital plants. Young plants are really great in adaptation on new environment.
About Nepenthes
Nepenthes are a large group of carnivorous plants that grow especially in Asia in tropical and subtropical zones. They are popularly known as tropical pitcher plants or monkey cups. Its leaves are topped by a large pitcher, which are used for catching insects. They are mostly climbing plants. Each type has a different pitchers, some are elongated, others resemble pumpkins or even a toilet. Nepenthes/ tropical pitcher plants, belongs to the largest carnivorous giants empire.
