Patchwork 4897

Patchwork 4897 is a textile work made using the Bargello technique, measuring 1.07 x 1.10 meters.

You will love this unique piece with its incredible play of colors and movements, obtained thanks to the careful assembly of Indonesian fabrics, renowned for their refined patterns and shimmering hues.

I made it using a patchwork technique called Bargello, which is characterized by the use of strips of fabric sewn, then cut and reassembled in a staggered manner to create undulating patterns, waves or flames.

I love this process which requires great precision in the cutting and alignment of fabrics, as well as a sense of color harmony to achieve effects of depth and movement.

The entire patchwork was quilted by hand to add depth and texture to the piece. Hand quilting involves crossing the three layers of the patchwork (top, batting, lining) using small, regular stitches, forming patterns that accompany and highlight the Bargello design.

This artisanal technique guarantees exceptional longevity for the work.
The Patchwork 4897 comes with a built-in hanging system, ready to be displayed as a piece of wall art. But if you prefer, you can also use it as a sofa throw.
