because every iron and material is different.

I ALWAYS recommend sewing it on. especially items that will be laundered frequently and thick material, hats, backpacks.
Washing recommendation, cold water delicate, hang to dry.

as with all things the smaller the size the smaller the details.

Yes, they are done on felt, because it does not fray.
If you would like a different material contact me.
I leave a little extra iron on backing around the edge;
Makes peeling off paper easier and insures better adhesion.
You may trim it off.
