Delicate strokes, sweeping lines – hand lettering not only looks beautiful, it is also just plain fun. Especially when you look at the finished result at the end of a project and can just be proud. As with everything, the same applies to hand lettering: “No master has ever fallen from the sky”. My quickstart workbook "Basic Handlettering" should make it easier for you to get started. From the most important rules at the beginning to the basic forms of each letter to the first alphabet, everything you need to get started is included here. In addition, I will tell you simple but effective tips for developing your personal lettering style and discover faux calligraphy with you - a must for every lettering project. The workbook is supplemented by two practical overview sheets on letter combinations and a helpful alphabet overview, so that you always have what you have learned with you for future projects.
You will receive the 18-page workbook as a printable PDF. Incidentally, laser color printing paper (color copy), which is available in every copy shop, is perfect for practicing here. But conventional printer paper with a grammage of 90g/sqm is also perfectly suitable for practicing. The nice thing: Since you receive the workbook as a file and not as a physical product, you can print out the alphabet practice pages as often as you like.
