These are hand-made headboards built using reclaimed pallet wood. This Kachemak Bay design came to be when a cherished, homesick customer requested it after moving to the continental USA from Homer, Alaska on the Kachemak Bay. Though they might have left the last frontier state, they managed to bring a bit of it's serene ruggedness into their home decor and I was honored to help!
The design's key feature is the random and sporadic areas of distressed white against a rich overall walnut wash, completed with optional black lamps. By default, the headboard will have flat/squared edges, but you can also have it done with the staggered-edges as seen in some of my other headboard designs - just mention it in the "notes" section while ordering. I design and build each one individually and the layout of each is completely different. No two are the same! I also sort through the lumber to look for boards that noticeably have a lot of character. Knots, holes, bark, rot, etc that make each piece special. I leave nail heads in the wood and any stamping/writing as well. Lots of character. With all of this being said, your headboard will not look exactly like any of the ones pictures, obviously. These are just examples of ones that I have created and yours would be SIMILAR. Headboards are sanded and triple coated with a polyacrylic. The back side of the headboards are sealed, but unstained. They are designed to have the legs be mounted to a standard metal bed frame. The headboards will be approximately 10 inches wider than your mattress (5 inches longer on each side). !!NOTICE!! Some assembly is required. The headboard will arrive in 4 or 5 large pieces and will require screws to be driven into the back of the piece. A screw gun or drill with philips bits are highly recommended. All instructions and hardware will be provided.

Again, I build these myself at home, so please excuse the production time. I've tried to build these headboards in an assembly line style of production, but they began to look very similar and cookie-cutter duplicates. That's not what I want to send out there.
