New house? New House number sign! Create a striking focal point to your home and be the envy of your neighbours with our contemporary, low maintenance house numbers cut from Corten steel (304 grade). Also known as Weathering steel, this is often referred to by the trademark COR-TEN steel. This naturally rusts over time, providing a striking, on-trend finish. It doesn't corrode, so no maintenance needed! We start the rusting process for you and then we leave the rest to mother nature!
The smaller sizes are great for up to 2 numbers and the larger ones are suitable for 3 numbers or numbers and letters such as 21A.
Our standard thickness is 1.5mm thickness Corten Steel. Holes and fixings are provided with your sign and we also enclose a helpful fitting template to help you position the sign correctly.
Your chosen wording / design will be cut into the steel. Please write your numbers with your order.
Fixings - we can offer the choice of no holes or fixings, holes and screw fixings, or holes and stand off fixings.
If you wish to incorporate your own artwork then please note that vector artwork is preferred, saved as an Adobe Illustrator AI, EPS or Corel Draw file. Please ensure that all fonts are outlined or supplied (PC format true type or post script). Please note that the cut out element of the sign as some letters may need tags within the centers to ensure that these do not drop out.
Proofing - a proof will be created and emailed to check for errors. Once the proof is approved via email, the order will be sent into production.
Colour - this sign is designed to rust from an initial light rust colour that we start for you (as shown in the images on the listing). Once you have positioned your sign outside the rust reaction will continue and the Corten sign will rust further. The colour will change and the patina will reach a rich dark umber colour (this takes 6 to 12 months depending on local weather conditions). Indeed we are one of a few companies that actually start the rust process as most other companies send out Corten in it's original unrusted state.
