William Morris (1834-1896) was the greatest designer and craftsman of the Arts & Crafts Movement (founded in 1887) influencing some of the most magnificent and fashionable products of the 19th Century. Morris placed great value on the job of craftsmanship and the natural beauty of materials pioneered by the Arts and Crafts movement which, eventually, emerged in Japan as the Mingei Movement. Today, some 120 years after his death, William Morris' legacy lives on and the business he established continues to create, market and sell interior decoration coupled with an excellence of design style founded on his aesthetic strategy.
