Creating handmade things for my home and gifts for friends and loved ones has always been one of my favorite things to do. I don't think there are too many things more satisfying than stepping back and admiring something you just created--or having someone else admire it!

In 2015 my husband and I bought a semi fixer-upper and went to work making it our home. We DIY'd everything from the counter tops to the personalized sign that hung over our open glassware shelving. Requests started pouring in for all sorts of custom items, and my husband even started a business building custom tables and lights. We received requests for signs and custom cornhole boards, so I started making them, but it was hard to compete for work space in our small shop. About three months into this endeavor, I hosted a crafternoon and made custom stencils for all the attendees. It was a huge hit. Everyone had so much fun and they were in love with the signs they had made. That's when the idea for DIY Design Company was born.

With the right tools, anyone can add a personal touch to whatever it is that's special to them. I love vinyl because it can be applied to so many materials and it makes a nearly fool-proof stencil--this is important to me because I want everyone to feel like they can make something beautiful, no matter their skill level! Each order is digitally designed, cut by a machine, and then finished by hand. A lot of love goes into every Vinyl Design that leaves my studio.

With that said, I want your Vinyl Design to be exactly what you envision it to be. Many of the listings in my shop are created with customization in mind. I've carefully selected quality fonts that represent just about any decor/personality style so that your design will work perfectly with your project.
