This flavour tree, designed by First Phil Whisky, captures the range and nuances a whisky enthusiast is likely to encounter in the world of single malts. I use the tree to get hints in the second and third levels of nosing and tasting. Interestingly, this tree makes it unnecessary to guess what your experience will be based upon regions of Scotch production, and instead relax, enjoy the experience of what is in your glass, and if you are so inclined, record the smell and taste of your whisky.
