Hello. I am Sue Tatar, owner and operator of the handcrafted quilt company.
I have been creating things on a sewing machine since the age of 12, everything from baby clothes to wedding gowns. By education I am a Registered Nurse and a proud graduate of Albany Medical Center School of Nursing. After years of working as a registered nurse both as a clinician and administrator I thought I needed a new challenge. I embarked on an adventure that would open my mind to some new and interesting perspectives and earned a B.S. in Business Management and Economics and an MBA.
I like to think of my projects as heirloom quality that will not get thrown away but that will be passed on for years to come. I am often told that I am a perfectionist. Everything I create is done with high-quality materials, precision, and lots of love. I have always had an interest in home decor and was delighted to discover I could combine my love of interior decorating with my love of fabric and colors to create bed quilts, couch throws, wall hangings, window valences, table runners, potholders, placemats, throw rugs and even pet items. Homemade baby items such as play mats, changing pads, baby carriers, bibs and keepsakes to commemorate special occasions are also very popular.
I reside in Saratoga Springs, New York with my husband Bob, our dogs Joey and Robbie and our sweet kitty Maggie. We have five grown children and eight grandchildren.
