I'm a long-distance walker and traveller with a passion for exploring trails, discovering new places and helping others plan their own adventures.
Inspiring Maps grew out of that passion. I enjoy bringing routes, places and practical information together in maps that let you see the bigger picture, whether you're planning your next long-distance walk or looking for an interesting map to display at home.
My maps are designed for people who love exploring on foot. Some bring together long-distance walking routes across an entire country; others focus on particular trails and destinations. The aim is always the same: to create something useful, interesting and inspiring.
Each map takes time and research to put together, and I want the finished product to be something I'd be happy to use or display myself.

Frequently asked questions
Are your maps hand-drawn?
Yes! Every map is digitally hand-drawn from scratch by me, using digital design tools. I build each design individually, bringing together routes, locations, labels and other details. These aren't simply standard maps downloaded from a mapping service and reproduced as prints. Please note, you are purchasing a professionally printed physical map, not a digital download.
How accurate are the routes and distances?
I research and carefully compile the information shown on each map, but distances are approximate and may differ from official figures or other sources. Actual walking distances can vary depending on the route taken, diversions and changes to the trail.
Are the maps supplied framed?
No. The maps are supplied as unframed prints, so you can choose a frame that suits your home. Please check the available size options in the individual listing. Each order is printed to order and shipped to you. Please refer to the individual listing for available sizes, delivery information and estimated arrival times.
