I’ve been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember. My work is rooted in a love for mixed media, collage, and abstraction. I often paint female figures, animals, birds, and fish as well—each piece inspired by the vibrant patterns, florals, and landscapes of my childhood spent in Africa and Hawaii.

I’ve always loved color and texture, and it shows up in a majority of my paintings!
Much of my abstract work is about the controlled chaos in the world around me. I love walking and exploring in nature, and it constantly inspires my abstract work. I love to add collage to my work in the form of found papers, tree bark papers, old newspapers, and antique sewing patterns… I love antique sewing patterns! I use a lot of acrylic paint, as well as China markers, colored pencils, and graphite. I also love pen and ink, and that shows up as under drawings or sometimes, full drawings on white paper. I’m constantly creating and that’s where I find my joy!

This shop features many of my smaller original works, including some that have served as studies for larger pieces now held in private and corporate collections across Hawaii, the continental U.S., Canada, Great Britain, France, and the Netherlands.
