When I was 11 years old my mom brought me to the local yarn store in our small town and handed me a crochet hook. As the little brat I was, I defied her and outright claimed crocheting is "boring". She gave up trying only a few days later. 9 years later during the height of a worldwide pandemic, I picked it back up (while also failing to make sourdough bread like everyone else). Anyways, I've been crocheting since 2020 and I haven't put it down. There's something oddly gratifying in creating your own plushies, sweaters, random other half-way done projects that sit in bins for months. I recently found my niche in Amigurumi, the art of crocheting in 3D, simply know as crochet plushies or dolls. My personal favorites to make are the turtles, the (o)possum, and the mallards. I enjoy and now love all that I can create; I hope you do too!
