What a delightful and unexpected find! This set was a source of quiet joy upon its arrival. It is a welcomed addition to my small collection of fountain pens, albeit containing none so small in size. How I wished to know the history of this set! Where had it travelled? What had it committed to paper? The tools for journal and sketchbook perhaps? Ripe for imaginary tales, I hope to have the nib repaired sufficiently to use the pen. (The sketch of a man’s face soon emerged on the invoice after I picked up the pencil…..) Got this as a gift for a friend who loves maps and anything history, ended up getting more than what I expected. Inside was a letter written through email by someone who once handled the maps, which I will be framing with the map. The map looks great, with the expected aging that I was honestly looking for, as well as looking like the pictures. Something I love about this business, as I did scroll through their page, was that they show the damages on items. They are honest, and that is enough to make me want to buy from them again and again.
