J’ai toujours apprécié l’art du travail fait à la main, l’acte de verser un peu de soi dans les choses que vous faites, qu’elles soient pour vous ou pour les autres.
Je joue avec l’aiguille et le fil depuis quelques années maintenant. Cela a commencé par le point de croix. Ma mère avait l’habitude de faire du point de croix et j’aime que nous utilisions encore les bas de Noël qu’elle a cousus pour mon frère, ma sœur et moi. Ils doivent avoir au moins 20 ans maintenant et toujours avoir fière allure! Ma première broderie a été faite pour le mariage de ma sœur. J’ai fait trois pièces toutes ensemble pour elle et je suis immédiatement tombée amoureuse de la broderie. C’est un métier tellement polyvalent qui vous permet de dessiner à peu près avec le fil! Vous pouvez être aussi traditionnel ou sauvage avec elle que vous le souhaitez! J’ai commencé avec des motifs simples, puis j’ai commencé à adapter les modèles à mes caprices, puis je suis rapidement passé à la création de mes propres modèles que je partage maintenant avec vous ici. Ce que j’aime le plus dans la broderie, c’est qu’elle vous oblige à ralentir. J’adore travailler avec mes mains et j’aime ce que chaque pièce que je fais, j’en apprends un peu plus sur moi-même :)

I have always appreciated the art of handmade work, the act of pouring a little bit of yourself into the things you make whether they are for you or for others.
I've been playing with needle and thread for a few years now. It started with cross stitching. My mother used to cross stitch and I love that we still use the Christmas stockings she stitched for my brother, sister and me. They must be at least 20 years old now and still look great! My first piece of embroidery was made for my sister's wedding. I made three pieces all together for her and immediately fell in love with embroidery. It's such a versatile craft that allows you to pretty much draw with the thread! You can be as traditional or wild with it as you want! I started with simple patterns, and then started adapting the patterns to my whims and then quickly moved to making my own patterns which I now share with you here. The thing that I love most about embroidery is that it forces you to slow down. I love working with my hands and I love that which each piece I make, I learn a little more about myself :)
