Back Story
Hi all,
This is the story of who I am and how A + Aprons n' Gifts came about. My mom taught me how to sew when I was probably around the age of 8. I used to make little doll skirts and blankets. When I was about 10 years old I started making aprons. I always loved making and selling products, so I decided with the help of my mom to go door-to-door selling my new aprons. I actually sold quite a few, and it brings me joy whenever I go to neighbor's houses and I see one of my creations hanging up proudly in their kitchens.
One thing led to another and I decided to start an official business making and selling aprons and other crafty products. That is when A +Aprons n' Gifts was born. I started a blog, made a facebook page, and set up etsy when I was a teenager. I really haven't done much with it in the past, but I am trying to take time this summer during college to hopefully build some momentum. Etsy has some amazing helpful hints as to how to become successful that I am trying to implement.
Currently I am going into my Junior year of College at a University in Birmingham, AL. Originally I am from Annapolis, MD. I am majoring in Interior Design, and minoring in Art and Business.
I have a passion for making quality products that are durable, comfortable, and fashionable. I also have a passion for giving to the pregnancy clinics in our area. They offer so many helpful services for women who need help with their pregnancies. They offer free ultra sounds enabling new mothers to see what their baby looks like, and so much more. Therefore, a portion of my proceeds goes to the Annapolis pregnancy clinics.
