I grew up with a creative and whimsical mother who introduced me to the vast world of Brian Froud and all things goblincore at a very young age. I've always loved the muddier side of nature and was privy to the less cuddly creatures. Banana slugs, rough skinned newts, and field mice roamed the forest behind my childhood home in Washington and to this day I work those memories into my art. Now, as my son Milo gets older I'm motivated to show him how wonderful every side of nature is and how he can 'bring it home' with art.
I started painting during the pandemic, I have no art school under me, but I want to bring a little entertainment into the world regardless!
I work mostly with watercolors because they let my play with depth and details, they feel the best on my brush. I absolutely love getting lost in mixing colors and playing with tones and pigment.
