Whimsical embroidery portraits and supplies

From losing the use of my hands to making art again

Embroidery started off as physical therapy and became an outlet for my passion for living! It celebrates my love for color, beauty and people. And I feel privileged to get to share it with you.

At 23 years old my life was completely upended when I developed an illness called Myalgic Encephalomyelitis that left me with only enough strength to eat and shower. My life became very small. 4 years of desperately searching brought me much needed help, and I picked embroidery as my physical therapy.

I started training 5 minutes at a time. 5 became 10 and then 15. A year later I could embroider for an hour at a time, spread throughout the day, and I have continued to grow since.

Fast-forward a few years, I embroidery continues to be a daily joy. I have since worked on many commissions for wedding anniversaries and continue to teach my craft.

I hope you find in embroidery as much beauty, power, and enjoyment as it has given me.
