From theory to practice, and then from practice to creation!
De la théorie à la pratique, puis de la pratique à la création !
I am an artist and book craftswoman, based in Pévèle, in the North of France.
My work lies at the crossroads of traditional bookbinding and printmaking. Trained in book history and engraving techniques, I develop a practice that combines technical rigor, research, and sensitivity to materials.
I create entirely by hand notebooks (Coptic, criss-cross, Japanese bindings, etc.) and original prints (etching, aquatint, drypoint, linocut). Each piece is conceived as a unique object, where the choice of paper, thread, inks, and techniques fully contributes to its meaning.
I attach particular importance to the origin and quality of the materials: engraving paper, Charbonnel inks, Fil au Chinois linen thread made in the North.
My work explores the links between matter, trace and memory, in an approach that is both artisanal and contemporary.
Je suis artiste et artisane du livre, installée en Pévèle, dans le Nord de la France.
Mon travail s’inscrit à la croisée de la reliure artisanale et de l’estampe. Formée à l’histoire du livre et aux techniques de gravure, je développe une pratique qui conjugue exigence technique, recherche et sensibilité aux matériaux.
Je réalise entièrement à la main des carnets (reliures copte, criss-cross, japonaises…) et des gravures originales (eau-forte, aquatinte, pointe sèche, linogravure). Chaque pièce est conçue comme un objet singulier, où le choix du papier, du fil, des encres et des techniques participe pleinement du sens.
J’attache une importance particulière à l’origine et à la qualité des matériaux : papier de gravure, encres Charbonnel, fil de lin Fil au Chinois fabriqué dans le Nord.
Mon travail explore les liens entre matière, trace et mémoire, dans une approche à la fois artisanale et contemporaine.
