Hi and welcome to my shop! Let me guess: You value handcrafted items; otherwise, you wouldn’t be visiting my shop. That makes me very happy because I too value artists’ work! Sure you could buy art much cheaper art at Walmart or Target, but you want something different, and that’s why you’re here! I painted 99% of my art in my shop, and each one was a joy to create. Original art simply isn’t cheap. As an online shopper, I too understand any hesitations you may have; it’s hard to feel confident when you can’t physically see the art. So let me try to allay your concerns by sharing that my art is hanging in local restaurants, in a local beauty salon, in a high-end eyewear boutique and doctors' offices. Most of these business owners are women and are drawn to my feminist style. I hope that you are too!!
If you are wondering about the 1% I didn't paint, those are the vintage art prints that SO inspire me!! They are over 100 years old, and they are so feminist, that I just want to share them with everyone!!! As an intersectional feminist, and I care deeply about equity of all people. My daily work and activism centers on these concerns, which naturally bleed over into my art. I have found my artist’s voice! 🎨
I primarily work in a few genres: expressive portraits of strong, powerful women and expressive and neoexpressionism abstracts. The common theme is boldness. I am color-centric, and I express my emotions through color. Strong emotions—empowerment, confidence, feistiness—are what drive me to paint my subjects; I seek out bold people living bold lives. My subjects move me, and I, in turn, hope my art not only moves people but that my art itself also moves. 🎨 😍 🖤
