Desde que tengo memoria, siempre me ha encantado hacer cosas. Ya sea dibujando, tomando fotos o cocinando, estoy más feliz cuando puedo usar mis manos para convertir lo que está en mi mente en algo táctil.
Comencé a hacer artículos de cuero con la necesidad de reducir el peso que llevo conmigo a diario; sólo lo esencial. Quiero crear piezas que ofrezcan a las personas los medios para hacer lo mismo: viajar ligero y vivir de manera simple.
Todos los artículos están diseñados y cosidos a mano por el suyo verdaderamente. Utilizo cuero de alta calidad de origen local de Horween Leather Company, que se ha establecido desde 1905. Cada pieza se corta, pincha y cose manualmente una por una con agujas de coser a mano, hilo encerado y mucha grasa en el codo.
Aunque es un proceso más largo que la costura a máquina, creo que este trabajo de amor inculca un poco del alma del creador en el trabajo y hace que cada pieza sea verdaderamente única.
For as long as I can remember, I've always loved making things. Whether it's drawing, taking photos, or cooking, I'm most happy when I can use my hands to make what's in my mind into something tactile.
I started making leather goods with a need to reduce the weight I carry with me daily; only the essentials. I want to create pieces which offer people the means to do the same - to travel light and to live simply.
All items are designed and hand-stitched by yours truly. I use high quality, locally-sourced leather from Horween Leather Company, which has been established since 1905. Each piece is manually cut, pricked, and stitched one-by-one with hand-sewing needles, waxed thread and a lot of elbow grease.
Though it is a more lengthy process than machine stitching, I believe that this labor of love instills a bit of the maker's soul into the work, and makes each piece truly unique.
