Enjoy looking at our hand painted paper mache boxes by the Hanway Mill House. Located in Chester County, Pennsylvania and inspired by the love of old houses and the colonial life. Each box I do goes thru seven steps of painting, design, distress and antiquing. I love to make new things look old and worn. Each box is painted black inside , signed and dated. Arrives in a cello bag with a tie . Every box is always a little different in size or shape or shading. I use various parts of many stencils added with hand painting and make some of my own with poster board. My boxes have been shown in 2007 Country Home, September Issue, January 2008 front cover , Country Sampler and in the Country House Catalog. Also this summer2008 , Romantic Homes , baths and bedrooms. These boxes are great for favors at the holiday tables, gift boxes for jewelry , candy, gift card, trinkets and for show. They come in various sizes and you can order special and in quantity. Great for the colonial, Early American, Victorian home and modern folk art.
