How Do I Know What Size Hoop To Buy?

Gauge refers to the thickness of the wire that goes through your piercing. A smaller gauge number means a thicker wire. Gauge Guide • 16 gauge (1.2 mm) – very thick • 18 gauge (1.0 mm) – thick • 20 gauge (0.8 mm) – standard • 22 gauge (0.6 mm) – thin • 24 gauge (0.5 mm) – ultra thin
