Mischievous red squirrel scampering over a solid oak letter.
Red squirrels are struggling to maintain a presence in the UK and pockets of forest are protected to help them to compete against the common grey squirrel invader. If you cannot get to see them in their natural habitat, this sculpture could be the next best thing.
Fully felted wool sculpture formed around a wire armature. Wool is a wonderful medium to work in. It allows 3D forms to be created and even tiny details to be worked into the surface. Many hours of felting can go into intricate pieces. He has traditional glass boot button eyes and horsehair whiskers.

This little chap measures approximately 14cm long and 8cm tall including his curly tail. The overall dimensions including the letter are 18cm long x 40cm tall by 7cm wide.
