Such a sweet book! The illustrations are adorable, and the story is so thoughtfully written. I’m looking forward to reading it with my son as we begin the weaning process. It feels like the perfect way to make this transition a little more special.

The book didn’t meet my needs. The story follows a child who already has been weaned so doesn’t help if you’re wanting to use it as a precursor to weaning.

Hello! I am so sorry that you feel this book doesn’t meet your needs for weaning your little one. The child in this book is modeled after my own son, and follows our active weaning journey. I created this story prior to weaning him and began reading it with him as a way to introduce the idea of not nursing anymore. By focusing on alternatives to nursing and the love/support of family the story is a great way to prepare your child well before actually stopping milk. (for reference: we began reading this to my son around 15m and weaned at 22m. He is now 2 years old and still asks for the “no milk book”)
