It’s all about colour...
Creativity was not something I grew up with and I never thought of myself as a creative person. That idea kind of makes me laugh now because I have come to realise just how creative we all are in our different ways. In 2007 I started taking art classes and I have never looked back. Once those pencils and crayons and paint and brushes and paper stumbled out of the closet, there was no putting them back in! Most of my waking hours are spent creating - if not physically, then mentally. I primarily work with acrylics but went through a huge lino print phase. That inspiration comes and goes but is behind a huge line of greeting cards and my t-shirt designs. I have recently fallen in love with acrylic inks and alcohol inks and these mediums are resulting in some fiery and earthy abstracts. My biggest thing, though, is probably The Ocean Oracle, a deck I created a few years ago now, but it brings me such joy to share it with others. Even though it was created through me, I still get goosebumps when I'm reading cards for others. They are so often just spot on. So, here we are. At my Etsy shop. Where I am trying to pull it all together under one umbrella. Creativity has saved me in so many ways. I love that something I create can bring joy and happiness to others. That's pretty special and I feel very blessed to be able to share some of my creative endeavours here with you.
