Do the typewriters work?

Yes, all typewriters are professionally serviced and working. You only need to supply paper and enjoy typing! If a typewriter has functions which do not work - this will be mentioned in the description.

Do I need a new ribbon?

No, all typewriters come with a freshly inked ribbon - no need to do anything rather than enjoy typing.

Can I trust no damage will occur during shipping?

No need to worry. I pack your typewriter with great care to avoid any possible damage. In very rare cases when this might occur please, contact me for a solution - I mostly provide shipping with insurance against damage and could be able to provide a partial refund.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times can be between 3 to 20 days depending on your country. Please, contact me before purchase to receive details on delivery timelines. Note: Currently all international shipping is experiencing delays due to coronavirus, please be mindful. Do you accept returns?

I gladly accept returns, please contact me within 14 days of delivery. You are obliged to send the item(s) back within 21 days of delivery. Upon receiving back the item(s) in original state I will issue a refund and you will receive it within 14 working days. A full refund includes the original total purchase price excl. shipping costs and excl. taxes. issued 14 days within receipt of goods. Buyers are responsible for return postage label & costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. If an item is returned damaged the buyer does not qualify for a refund. This is due to the nature of the goods, which are sometimes vintage or antique and lose value/cannot be resold if damaged.

A re-listing fee of 100 euro is charged from the total refund amount if the buyer has bought item(s) and is refusing to pay import/duty taxes. Please note some type of items cannot be returned, for example customized items, digital downloads or items on sale. If there is something wrong with your order, please contact me for help.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Does your purchase require a special occasion or gift wrapping? You are in the right hands, contact me and I will make sure your typewriter is beautifully packed with a nice gift wrapping paper or a bow. I can also include a small hand written card with personalized message on request. Just leave a message with your order or contact me up to 4 hours after payment, I am glad to help you personalize your gift.

Can I buy an extra ribbon for my typewriter?

Yes, I do sell fresh ribbons for almost all typewriter models, you can also select this option with your typewriter order. If you forgot to add it during checkout, you can purchase your ribbon separately and it will always be shipped in 1 order. If you have a special request or odd ribbon size, contact me to check for availability.

Import duties/fees/taxes

Please, note that for some countries there might be extra import taxes/duties and other government fees collected before you can pick up your package. Please, consult your local tax authorities on import taxes for a calculation estimate. As a seller, I do not profit from these taxes and also I cannot make an estimation on what they might be. Any import tax or fee encountered after Etsy transaction is not part of Etsy and is responsibility of the buyer. If you do not wish to pay the taxes/fees and want to cancel the transaction you must return the goods back to the seller in original condition in order to receive a refund, issued 14 days within receipt of goods. If you need to receive further institutions on how to use your typewriter - please contact me. In most cases I can provide a free manual for your typewriter. In other cases you can buy one on Etsy. You can also search for a free typewriter manual online or look up a video tutorial on your specific typewriter model on Youtube for a video of how to use it. I am always glad to share care instructions and maintenance tips for your typewriter. Please, let me know with your order if you would wish to receive those, otherwise you can always contact me after purchase.

Olympia SM3 is one of the top 5 typewriters ever produced and loved by many for good reasons. This typewriter is made and Germany was engineered to outlive and outperform many other portable models! Olympia boasts of it's precisely engineered mechanics and the practical design of their typewriter models. This model features revolutionary for it's time, piano keys - meaning the keys depress parallel to the desk, which is very ergonomic.

*TYPEFACE: Pica, 10cpi typeface. The keyboard has a QWERTZ layout. Very special rare keys - to make checkboxes and lists!

*COSMETICS: This typewriter is in excellent condition. There are a few paint scratches on the body - visible in the pictures. The chrome plated metal parts look very good. The colour is a lovely milky white, stunning. One comment worth noticing - the margin release key has a big scratch on top of it (look at photos)

*MECHANICS: As with all our serviced typewriters - this one is in outstanding mechanical condition. It types as smooth as butter and looks amazing! The typewriter has been disassembled, cleaned, polished and adjusted on feet. It has a new ink ribbon which will type 2.5 million characters before the ink runs dry. Most probably you will not need new ink in the next 10 years or so. Bell works like a charm, carriage advances smoothly. This typewriter is ready to withstand many hours of heavy typing with it's smooth carriage, light keys and sturdy design.

*CASE: Including heavy duty case.

*ADDITIONAL INFO: This typewriter is very easy to type on, it's suitable for light users who do not like to heavily hit the keys. The keys are very responsive, light to type on, perfect distance between the rows of the keyboard which is ergonomic. This model has something unique - it features a "cushion" effect of it's keyboard - when the key is depressed - it has a slight spring movement which absorbs the pressure. Moreover, for easy writing the keys stay perpendicular to the working surface with every press which is also a very unique feature for this model. Please, note in the photos a margin key is missing, but the typewriter does come with a margin key and is 100% complete!

*OUR RECOMMENDATION: We always recommend this model if you are planning on regular use and heavy typing. This typewriter is a true performer which can also be carried anywhere with you.
