THE PROCESS

1) Please click "Contact" under my photo at the top right to chat with me about your ideas. I will reply as quickly as possible.
2) We will discuss your piece including subject, colors, size, medium, title, special requests, pricing and any other relevant information.
3) Once satisfied, a 50% down payment will be required to begin the painting for the purchase of materials.
4) I will communicate with you on a regular basis by email with sketches, jpeg files, photos/visuals, progress reports for your critique. All sketches will be included with your commission
5) When the piece is completed, the final 50% payment will be required before mailing
6) All works by Mike Kraus are signed and dated.
7) Items will be sent via USPS unless otherwise requested.
8) Enjoy your custom artwork for generations to come!

This will be a positive, fun experience. I would be happy to chat with you, with no obligation, about what you have in mind. It’s important to me that you’re thrilled with the final piece.

Mike Kraus was born on the industrial shoreline of Muskegon, Michigan. After earning his Fine Arts Degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, he attended Grand Valley State University for his graduate degree. From there, he gained varied experiences from the Chicago Architecture Foundation, Art Institute of Chicago, Hauenstein Center For Presidential Studies, Lollypop Farm Humane Society, and the Children's Memorial Foundation. And every place he worked, he had his sketchbook with him and found ways to be actively creative. In 2014, Kraus became a full-time artist by establishing Mike Kraus Art. Since then, he has sold thousands of paintings that are displayed in nearly every state and dozens of countries. Currently, Kraus lives in Rochester, New York with his beautiful wife and goofy dog.
