46 Direct was born in New Braunfels, Texas, with a pretty simple idea: create things we'd actually want to own and wear.
We're not interested in filling a store with hundreds of generic designs just to see what sticks. Every design starts with an idea. From there, it gets worked, changed, argued over, scrapped when it isn't good enough, and refined until it's something we're willing to put the 46 Direct name on.
Our influences are pretty simple — Texas, hard work, independence, humor, faith, family, country, and the people who still believe your word means something.
Do we use AI to help create our artwork?
Hell yes, we do.
We use AI as one of the tools in our creative process — along with original ideas, endless trial and error, custom direction, editing, refinement, and an unreasonable amount of arguing over whether something needs to move three-quarters of an inch to the left.
AI doesn't decide what goes on a 46 Direct shirt. We do.
We use the best tools available to turn an idea into something we're proud to put our name on.
Every piece we put out is deliberately designed, reviewed, revised, probably argued over some more, and ultimately approved by a real person — right here in New Braunfels, Texas.
We're a small business utilizing every damn tool in the toolbox.
