I commissioned this portrait expecting a coloured-pencil drawing, as the listing description states that colour pencils are used and I clearly requested colour when placing my order. After the portrait was completed, I received a black-and-white graphite drawing instead. When I asked about this, I was told that he doesn’t actually do colour drawings yet and what’s more is that colour pencil drawings cost more and that this listing was for graphite only — something that was not made clear before the work was completed or at the time of purchase. While the drawing itself is nicely done, the communication around materials and pricing was unclear, and I wish the artist had contacted me before proceeding. Unfortunately, this experience means I would not order again, and I recommend future buyers clarify expectations in advance.
