My daughter has moved into her own place and asked me to make this table runner for her. The pattern is well written and easy to follow, but it doesn’t include the way to connect the parts as you go. I asked for it and got it!

This pattern has a ways to go! First, it said it makes a "18"x70" stole/shawl". If you follow the directions, you get a little rectangle. Mine was 6" wide on a 2mm hook with #3 crochet cotton. They call for a 1.15mm hook and fingering or sport, which makes no sense. I guess you could sew a bunch together which would be silly if you could just expand on the repeat, which brings me to the next.... Second, it never tells you how many to chain to start or what multiple to expand on the pattern if you want to make the stole/shawl. I had to calculate it out. (FYI, each center motif is 24 and you need an additional 33 chains for the beginning and end partial motifs.) -If it weren't for the photos for every single row, you wouldn't know where the st go or multiples to repeat or what st you're skipping.

No written pattern, no diagram. Just pictures and descriptions that made no sense. There was a YouTube link for a tutorial that did not work.

The pattern makes no sense at all, I've spent an hour trying to work it out from the pictures. But the written instructions are useless and are missing bits
