Luego, tejí a mano y creé ropa única.

My daughter, Heather, is the reason this shop got started. Around three years ago Heather asked me to make up some necklaces to take around to a few stores in town and try to sell them. I made them up and put them in nice Jewelry boxes and showed her. Her first response was "They are very pretty, where did you buy them"?

I actually started designing about 30 years ago in Aspen, CO. Then, I hand knitted and created one of a kind clothing. Not with a knitting machine, truly hand made, with 2 knitting needles. I would make my own designs, no patterns from books. Custom designs were done by meeting people and having them explain what was in their heads and I would listen. Then I would try to create their dream garment. It was fun. In Aspen there is a lot of dreamers and unique peoples.
I wished everybody a little "Twink of Magic". Which was my way of saying, "I Wish You, Love, Peace, & Joy!"☮❀♥ I believed in those important practices then and I still believe in them now.I have kept that practice up, even to the present time!

Back to the present, Heather was so surprised by what I created that she got more serious about my jewelry and she searched around on-line. She is fantastic with computers, not so her mom. She came up with Etsy & talked me into it. She was my true inspiration. She walked me through my first listings and she took the listings first pics.
For Christmas that year, 2009, my children got together and bought me a fantastic camera. My Son, Ezekiel, with much patience, walked me through how to take pictures with it. It has taken me years to get good enough pictures to show my Jewelry Creations well. I think thats an on-going learning process as is my Jewelry and all my creations.

How do I create?
What I do is look at many different areas online and while shopping. I buy whatever jewelry components interest me, if I can afford them. Like gemstone beads, clasps, bead caps (which I LOVE), ear wires or ribbons. When I get them home I look at the different parts/findings/jewelry pieces. It doesn't take very long before ideas come into my head, just flying around, some connected but some ideas fly off and make off-shoots of other ideas, of how these parts belong together. Sometimes I have to write fast and catch a few thoughts before they disappear or join other thoughts and then combine into a finished piece of Jewelry. Once I know that, I get busy and create the first proto-type.
With earrings, I usually don't make, a one of a kind type of earring. If I like my proto-type I then make perhaps 6-10 or so pairs of earrings, the same as the proto-type but each a different color or combination of colors. Sounds easy? Sometimes it is and sometimes I actually need to SLOW down so I don't loose the ideas all bouncing off each other, hence I write quickly, and grab them up.
I love setting gemstones in mounts. It is so satisfying when you see the result of the work you have done. It is so important to set the right gemstone in the right mount & after all the thought you put into it the result is satisfying & relieving when you realize hopefully, that you successfully achieved what you were visualizing in your head. That goes for all jewelry designing actually.
I really have a wonderful daughter. She is the one responsible for getting the packages mailed, since I can't drive a car anymore. She is also great encouragement to keep on going. My son is also so wonderful, he calls on the phone once a week or sometimes more to keep me in the loop and encourages me as well.
Life has been full of Happiness & Love. My True Love for 28 years. We built a cabin on Aspen Mountain. We have three amazing children Ezekiel, Nathaniel & Heather. Now as a widow, I find myself making people happy with my creations, and am content!
