Uno de mis mejores recuerdos de la infancia es de mí y mis amigos haciendo 'perfume' usando pétalos de flores, brotes de lavanda y hierbas de nuestros jardines. Añadíamos agua y la aplicábamos en nuestras muñecas y cuellos, fingiendo ser como nuestras madres. ¿Tú también hiciste esto? ¿No se sentían los días más largos y los veranos más cálidos en ese entonces?
Avance rápido treinta años y tengo la suerte de poder seguir "jugando" con los productos botánicos para crear productos naturales de ducha y baño que no solo se ven y huelen hermosos, sino que también tienen beneficios comprobados para nuestros cuerpos y mentes.
Siendo madre de mi maravillosa hija e hijo, y cumpliendo mi sueño de ser maestra de la clase de recepción, las oportunidades de jugar y crear, imaginar y experimentar continuaron. Siempre he tenido la necesidad de crear algo y, fue después de una visita a un spa local con mi novio que descubrí las ventajas de los aceites esenciales y especialmente sus usos en la ducha.
Algo sobre la capacidad de nutrir mi bienestar mientras me duchaba, que hago a diario, realmente resonó en mí y decidí investigar las duchas de aromaterapia. Aquí es donde descubrí Shower Steamers e instantáneamente pedí algunos de un minorista grande, bien conocido y producido en masa. El uso de estos demostró que los necesitaba para permanecer en mi vida, pero también sentí que podrían ser más "naturales" al usar solo aceites esenciales y no aceites de fragancia (esto también garantiza una experiencia terapéutica) y al asegurar que todos los ingredientes fueran puros y de alta calidad.
Después de que inicialmente solo hiciera vaporizadores de ducha para mí y mi familia, me convencieron de comenzar a venderlos y ¡ha sido un primer año increíble para el negocio! Abrí la tienda de Etsy en octubre de 2021, ¡y ya está clasificada en el 16% superior de todas las empresas de Etsy! Esto fue más allá de mis expectativas, pero me ha dado la oportunidad de perseguir mi sueño de toda la vida de llegar y ayudar a otros a manejar su autocuidado y nutrir su bienestar. ¡Recibir todos los comentarios positivos en las reseñas y conocer a algunos de mis clientes ha sido un sueño hecho realidad!
Simplemente tomando una ducha, algo que probablemente haga todos los días, y respirando las mezclas originales que se elevan en el vapor, ¡podrá experimentar los beneficios de la aromaterapia y crear una sensación de spa en su propio baño! Beatitud.
¿Por qué Shower Steamers? Para mí, hay dos razones por las que no me baño regularmente, sino que me ducho todos los días:
1. Simplemente no tengo tiempo para bañarme y sentarme en él para sentir los beneficios relajantes. Mantenerse limpio es una necesidad y no un placer.
2. Me gusta la idea de un baño, así que si alguna vez tengo la oportunidad de entrar, lo lleno con sales de baño y pétalos de rosa, pero en cinco minutos, ¡estoy aburrido y quiero salir!

One of my fondest childhood memories is of me and my friends making ‘perfume’ using flower petals, lavender buds and herbs from our gardens. We would add water and dab it on to our wrists and necks, pretending to be just like our mums. Did you do this too? Didn’t the days feel longer and the summers warmer back then?
Fast-forward thirty years and I am lucky enough to be able to still ‘play’ with botanicals to create natural shower and bath products that not only look and smell beautiful, but also have proven benefits for our bodies and minds.
Being a Mum to my wonderful daughter and son, and fulfilling my dream to be a Reception Class teacher, the chances to play and create, imagine and experiment continued. I have always had the urge to be creating something and, it was after a visit to a local spa with my boyfriend that I discovered the advantages of essential oils and especially their uses in the shower.
Something about the ability to nurture my wellbeing whilst taking a shower, which I do daily, really resonated with me and I decided to research aromatherapy showers. This is where I discovered Shower Steamers and instantly ordered some from a large, well known, mass produced retailer. Using these proved that I needed these to stay in my life, but I also felt that they could be more ‘natural’ by using only essential oils and not fragrance oils (this also ensures for a therapeutic experience) and by ensuring that all of the ingredients were pure and high quality.
After initially only making Shower Steamers for myself and my family, I was convinced to begin selling them and it has been an amazing first year for the business! I opened the Etsy store in October 2021, and it is already rated in the top 16% of all Etsy businesses! This was beyond my expectations but it has given me the chance to pursue my lifetime dream of reaching out and helping others to manage their self-care and nurture their wellbeing. Receiving all of the positive feedback in the reviews and getting to know some of my customers has been a dream come true!
By simply taking a shower, something you probably do every day, and breathing in the original blends that rise in the steam, you will be able to experience the aromatherapy benefits and create a spa-like feeling in your own bathroom! Bliss.
Why Shower Steamers? For me, there are two reasons why I don’t regularly bath but instead have a shower every day-
1. I simply don’t have the time to run a bath and sit in it to feel the relaxing benefits. Keeping clean is a necessity and not a treat.
2. I like the idea of a bath so if I ever get the chance to go in, I fill it with bath salts and rose petals, but within five minutes, I’m bored and want to get out!
