Hi! I'm Helen, the Little Goat behind the studio (my last name means baby goat in French). I draw all the designs for my scarves right here in my studio in Toronto.
I decided to focus on silk scarves for a few reasons..
1. They're versatile: You can wear them as tops, head wraps, as beach cover-ups, etc
2. They work on every body: No need to worry whether a scarf will fit you properly, it always does!
3. They're timeless: I have scarves in my closet that belonged to my grandma that I still wear!
I love a hidden meaning, and I incorporate lots of symbolism into my pieces.
When you wear one of these scarves, I want it to feel like you've found something really special that you can’t get just anywhere. I hope the intentions and love I put into my designs come through, and that you have an even better day every time you pop one on!
I really like this planet, and I'm doing everything I can to make sure I'm not making things worse. I even hope to make things kinda better? Here's how..
1. I found a weather-proof packaging solution that isn't going to stick around in a landfill for hundreds of years. Our current shipping mailers are 100% biodegradable, but I'm always keeping my eyes out for even more earth-friendly options!
2. As a small independent business, I work with others to create our final products. Right now, I work with one supplier in China to print and hem our scarves. I always order in very small quantities (think between 5-10 of each design per size) to reduce any excess waste. Our factory partner in Hangzhou have been OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified for their silk products, as well as the inks they use to print on.
For our handmade paper greeting cards and plantable envelopes, I am so proud to work with our Canadian supplier- Botanical Paperworks, who are women-owned and B-Corp certified.
If you want to find out more information about our suppliers, let's chat!

5 out of 5 starsThis scarf made the perfect gift for my best friend’s 40th birthday. The artist is using high quality silk for their products and that makes all of the difference. Additionally I worked directly with the artist to make sure the gift would arrive on time and she did an incredible job expediting the order and checking in with me with tracking and expected arrival dates. These are the types of artists I absolutely love supporting!

5 out of 5 starsWow! I received this scarf within 2 days! It is a birthday gift for a dear friend turning 70 on Tuesday (an Aries!) so I just assumed it would be belated. But, no! It was here, beautifully presented, before I could say, "I should have ordered earlier." I haven't opened it as I won't be able to replicate the cuteness, but I have the large blue scarf and I adore it. I wore it in Quebec City in the rain and wind and I was so cozy. :) Terrific craftswomanship, Little Goat.
