From a 12-year-old’s dream to handmade Brazilian treats, made with heart and tradition
ML’s Homemade began in 2014, when Maria was just 12 years old and in 7th grade, selling homemade brigadeiros at school to friends and teachers. What started as a simple way to share something sweet quickly grew into a real passion. Over the years, she expanded beyond brigadeiros, learning to make and sell truffles, cake bowls, healthy sandwiches, professional cakes, churros, salgadinhos, and many other delicacies inspired by Brazilian cuisine.
By 2017, while still in 9th grade, the business officially became ML’s Homemade. As Maria grew, so did her skills, creativity, and commitment to quality. After moving to the United States, ML’s Homemade was restarted with the same original purpose: sharing Brazilian flavors through homemade food made with care and attention to detail.
Today, ML’s Homemade offers a wide variety of products, prepared in small batches using high-quality ingredients and no preservatives. Some items are made to order, while others are prepared fresh in limited quantities, always prioritizing taste, freshness, and consistency. While recipes may evolve, the heart of the business remains the same: honoring Brazilian tradition and delivering handmade food that feels personal and special.
ML’s Homemade is more than a small business. It’s the continuation of a childhood dream, built over time with dedication, passion, and love for what is made by hand.
