Frequently asked questions
Which software do I need?
Microsoft Word (Windows or Mac) or Google Docs, which is free. Every bundle includes editable .docx files.
Do I need to install fonts?
Our ATS designs use Calibri and Cambria, so there's nothing to install. Other designs use free Google Fonts, which are built into Google Docs. For Word, the Start Here guide links to the fonts with simple install steps.
A4 or US Letter: which should I use?
Use US Letter for the United States and Canada, and A4 almost everywhere else. Both are included in every bundle.
Are the templates ATS friendly?
Designs listed as ATS friendly use a single reading order and real text, which applicant tracking systems read well. Our sidebar designs are two-column; for large online application portals, the Start Here guide explains the best way to submit.
Can I change colours, fonts and sections?
Yes. Everything is editable. You can rename, add or remove any section.
I can't open the .zip file. What do I do?
On a computer, double-click the .zip file to unzip it. On a phone or tablet, use a computer or upload the .docx files to Google Drive and open them with Google Docs.
Can you customise a template for me?
We don't currently offer custom design, but message us with your question and we'll point you to the best template for your needs.
Can I share or resell the files?
No. Each purchase is for one person's personal use. Please don't share, resell or redistribute the files.
