Why a home portrait? It’s all about the memories...
I am the owner and maker behind Pink Cottage Studio. My creative design specialties focus on your memories ~ for you or your gift giving. For me, it’s all about the memories made at home and capturing that feeling in art. My medium is watercolor as this perfectly reflects my light and whimsical painting style.
Although I focus on custom home paintings, some of my clients have unique ideas for gifts ~ a special wedding venue painting, retirement painting of the workplace, first apartments, college buildings, engagement locations and whimsical nursery art. In addition, I do collaborate with many realtors across the country to present the most memorable closing gift available ~ a house portrait.
My most precious memories are those shared with family and friends at home. After moving from New England to Northern Virginia and the Shenandoah region, remembering the most special places that we called “home” ~ this is the seed that grew into Pink Cottage Studio. I want to keep those memories alive of the homes we built, decorated and enjoyed with our children. The large brick fireplace with the hand-hewn mantel that held the stockings at Christmas, the family home with the in-ground pool and gorgeous hydrangea and the home we built and ultimately lived for less than a year....all important and distinct parts of my life.
