...Thread Crochet Jewelry From Your Sewing Box...
I create my jewelry with detailed work mainly from different kinds of sewing threads that have been ignored for a long time. They have literally fallen on my neck from the loft where they were discarded after their owner, my great-aunt, passed away. My great-aunt was a very talented costume designer and dressmaker in her time.
I am not like that. :)
Since I cannot sew I have opened an other dimension for this everyday thing, the sewing thread. As I have crocheted more and more pieces of jewelry it became quite obvious that the wider color palette of sewing thread makes it possible to create infinite number of shades and to make colorful miracles. The thinness of the thread facilitates to create delicate, graceful, ethereal, lacy pieces with lots of playfulness in them.
I am inspired by everything being colorful and beautiful. :)
I suppose that everyone has some spools of sewing thread around the house. Since it takes quite a long time for me to create a piece from sewing thread and I feel I am not able to make my pieces of jewelry quickly in a larger quantity, I decided to write down the crochet pattern of them in order to reach a wider range of women who are open to enjoy both the process of creating and wearing these filigree-like, gently feminine pieces.
Be my fellow traveller on this wonderful journey of crocheting enchanting, attractive pieces of jewelry!
