Me quedé con él y pronto desarrollé mi primera colección llamada "Ladies in Waiting".
Y así es como desarrollé todas mis colecciones de colores: Ladies in Waiting, Pearls of Wisdom, Across the Universe, I Chrome in Peace, Elemental, Fall Spice, Forever Royal, Glitz & Glamour, y la próxima 'Tis the Season Christmas Collection!
Roar Nails began inadvertently after the birth of my daughter Aurora. I had always loved nail polish and I wanted to find a hobby that gave me some "me time" away from the hectic life of being a new mom. So I started painting my nails all the time, participating in 30 day challenges, and constantly adding to my collection of polishes. But soon my husband grew tired of the phrase "I can't, my nails are wet" and the expense of buying more and more polishes just became a little too much.
During this time I had stumbled upon some indie polish makers and I started to wonder whether or not I could make my own polish. I did some research on the internet and found some suppliers of base and colors and it just blossomed from there. My first batches were, well...not so good. I struggled to find the right combinations of micas, pigments, and glitters (oh my!) and quickly became frustrated. By I stuck with it and soon I had developed my first collection called "Ladies in Waiting." I used the favorite colors of some of the special ladies in my life as inspiration and it was a complete success!
I quickly started creating more and more colors, but soon found things got out of control and fast. I was producing random color after random color. Some I liked, some I didn't, and some that looked too similar. It was then that I realized I needed to create colors in collections. If I planned out the colors first, I had much greater success. And that's how I developed all of my color collections: Ladies in Waiting, Pearls of Wisdom, Across the Universe, I Chrome in Peace, Elemental, Fall Spice, Forever Royal, Glitz & Glamour, and the soon to come 'Tis the Season Christmas Collection!
When I decided to turn this hobby into a business, I knew I wanted to name it after my daughter since she was the inspiration for the whole thing. And that's how Roar Nails was born. My daughter is 2 now and she always wants to "play polish" with mommy. Interesting enough, since I launched back in May, my two colors Aurora and Roree Sue, both named after my daughter, have the most views and are the most favorited items in my shop.
I would say that's a sign of success!
