No sé de todos, ¡pero preferiría tener elementos que me definan! No me gusta tener las mismas cosas que todos los demás. Me gusta que las cosas sean un poco fuera de lo común e hice un poco más a mi gusto. ¡Y esto es lo que estoy aquí para ofrecer a todos los demás la oportunidad de tener! ¡Todo en mi tienda es 100% personalizable, desde los esquemas de color hasta la redacción y (mi favorito) las solicitudes personalizadas! Los artículos no se limitan a lo que se muestra en mi tienda. Si buscas algo específico... ¡solo pregúntame y haré todo lo posible para encontrarte exactamente lo que estás buscando!
¡Y ahora para un poco de información sobre mí mismo y cómo comencé! Comencé en 2014 cuando descubrí que estaba embarazada de mi hijo. Cuando comencé a mirar todos los artículos para bebés que necesitaría comprar pronto, no quería tener las mismas mantas, bolsas de pañales y asientos para el automóvil que cualquier otra madre. ¡Así que decidí comprar una máquina de coser y hacer mis propias cosas! Comenzar fue muy frustrante con mucha prueba y error, pero estaba muy satisfecho con los artículos que había hecho. Una vez que comencé a mostrar a algunos de mis familiares y amigos algunos de los artículos que había hecho, comenzaron a decirme que también debería ofrecer estos artículos a otros. Un amigo me convenció para que probara Etsy, ¡y nació Shay's Store!
Una vez que comencé mi tienda en Etsy, realmente no sabía qué esperar. Comenzó lento con un par de ventas aquí y allá. Lo siguiente que supe fue que estaba obteniendo más y más ventas y se mantenían estables. ¡Estaba entusiasmado! ¡Nunca pensé que despegaría de la manera en que lo hizo! Comencé haciendo solo artículos para bebés, incluyendo bolsas de pañales, fundas para asientos de automóvil, mantas, toldos y más, y también ofrecí bordados. ¡Desde entonces he podido no solo actualizar las máquinas, sino también diversificarme en otras aventuras!
¡Finalmente decidí dar el salto al mundo del vinilo! Después de aproximadamente un año de investigación, ¡lucho con mi primera máquina de corte! Esto vino con mucho ensayo y error, ¡pero finalmente lo entendí y comencé a enumerar estos artículos en mi tienda como una opción también! Una vez más, ¡no esperaba que despegara de la manera en que lo hizo o tan rápido como lo hizo! ¡Pero no podría estar más feliz al respecto! ¡Pude hacer crecer este lado de mi negocio muy rápidamente para llegar a donde estoy ahora!
¡Nunca pensé que hacer algunos artículos para bebés para mi hijo esperado en ese momento, me pondría donde estoy ahora! ¡Pero no podía pedir estar en un lugar diferente! ¡He podido trabajar desde casa y hacer crecer mi negocio más allá de lo que alguna vez soñé! Mi objetivo original era hacer lo suficiente para quedarme en casa... ¡esto fue soplado completamente fuera del agua!
I don't know about everyone, but I would prefer to have items that define me! I don't like to have the same things that everyone else has. I like things to be a little out of the ordinary and made a little more to my liking. And this is what I am here to offer everyone else the opportunity to have! Everything in my shop is 100% customize-able from the color schemes, to wording, and (my favorite) custom requests! Items are not limited to what is shown in my shop. If you're looking for something specific...just ask me and I will do my best to find you exactly what you are looking for!
And now for a little background on myself and how I got started! I started in 2014 when I found out I was pregnant with my son. When I started looking at all the baby items I would need to purchase soon, I didn't want to have the same blankets, diaper bags, and carseat as every other mother out there. So I decided to buy a sewing machine and make my own stuff! Starting out was very frustrating with lots of trial and error but I was very pleased with the items I had made. Once I began to show some of my family and friends some of the items I had made, they started telling me I should offer these items to others as well. One friend talked me into trying out Etsy, and Shay's Store was born!
Once I began my shop on Etsy I didn't really know what to expect. It started out slow with a couple of sales here and there. Next thing I knew, I was getting more and more sales and they were staying steady! I was stoked! I never thought it would take off the way that it did! I started out with making only baby items including diaper bag, carseat covers, blankets, canopies and more, and also offered embroidery. I have since been able to not only upgrade machines, but also branch out into other adventures!
I finally decided to take the plunge into the world of vinyl! After about a years worth of research, I bout my first cutting machine! This to, came with ALOT of trial and error but I finally got the hang of it and began listing these items in my shop as an option also! Again, I didn't expect it to take off the way that it did or as quickly as it did! But I couldn't be happier about it! I was able to grow this side of my business very quickly to get to where I am now!
I never thought that making a few baby items for my expected child at the time, would put me where I am now! But I couldn't ask to be in a different place! I have been able to work from home and grow my business beyond what I ever dreamed! My original goal was to do just enough to stay home...this was blown completely out of the water!
