My love affair with stained glass.
I was drawn into working with stained glass initially because I just love the intense colors of the glass. I also like to see how they change during the different times of the day. I quickly realized that it is the combination of the “lines” and the “colors” working together which really distinguish one composition from another. I have found that design revisions are very important for a good composition.
Being involved with Etsy has offered an opportunity to explore new ideas in stained glass design and reach a larger audience in North America and Europe. I really enjoy the questions and comments that people have chosen to share. They are invaluable, as they challenge me to move beyond my own sense of design and engage with many other people and their ideas.
Sometimes I work with my husband Geoffrey designing stained glass windows and doors . He is a master woodworker, who has been designing and building in wood for over 45 years. We love working together creating beautiful things.
I like hearing from interested people and collaborating with them successfully . I listen to what they envision in a stained glass window composition, and try to satisfy their dream. I really enjoy helping people solve their window problems with beautiful colored glass. I have also met lots of very interesting people. Thanks for looking!
