Stare Off Studio: Handcrafted Resin Eyes That Keep a Look Out
Hey there, welcome to Stare Off Studio. If you’ve ever felt like your art was missing a soul (or at least a very judgmental gaze) you’re in the right place. I’m Corvus, and I make eyeballs.
I’ve always been the guy who finds the "weird stuff" cool. While everyone else was collecting stamps or normal rocks, I was fascinated by the uncanny-- the stuff that sits right on the edge of "wait, is that real?" It started a few years back when I was working on a personal prop project and realized most craft eyes looked like flat, plastic buttons. No depth, no life, no spark. (no thank you!)
I spent months in my lab (okay, it’s a desk with way too many bottles & jars) obsessing over resin clarity and pigment layering. I wanted to create an eye that didn't just sit there, but actually stared back. Every piece you see here is hand-poured, hand-painted, and polished by me. They’ve got that high-gloss, wet-look finish because, honestly, if it doesn’t look like it needs a blink, I haven’t done my job.
Whether you’re a doll maker, a taxidermy enthusiast, or just someone who wants a bowl of hyper-realistic eyes on their coffee table (defs no judgment here), I’m here to help you finish your masterpiece. Thanks for stopping by and supporting a maker who’s just a little bit obsessed with the iris.
If you're looking for custom eyeballs, you've found your guy. Message me and I'll see how "eye" can make it come to "life".
Keep it weird,
— Corvus
