Hello, my name is Heidi! Thank you for your interest in our new shop A Little Small Talk. After spending 18 great years in a career as a professional fashion and advertising Graphic Artist and Creative Director, I decided to launch this shop. Just for stopping by, you are helping to fuel a longtime dream of mine to create this special occasion design company. For that, I am grateful!
My experiences over the years range from creating small company logos and letterhead all the way to global digital advertising designs and TV commercials. No matter the size of the project I am working on, I approach each project with big picture thinking crafted individually for my customers and audiences.
With Heidi & Lil C, I use my longtime career experiences in design, branding, and trend to help my customers come up with beautiful, artful expressions for their celebrations. Anything you can dream up, we can make it happen in a tasteful, modern expression.
I approach invitation design much like a holistic branding exercise. Whether it be a wedding invitation, a shower or a birthday party, the design helps to say who you want to be for that special event. Wedding design in particular, exemplifies a holistic branding opportunity for the couple. From save the dates, wedding website, invitations all the way to the after event thank you notes should ideally have that couple's brand identity at every touchpoint. I can make this an easy AND fun journey for you!
As your personal graphic designer, you can expect me to be on top of current trends in fashion and color that influence my design concepts. I believe that good design is clean, simple and well balanced. With this theory, you say more with less, well thought out placement of type, color, and textures.
