Comencé Etsy como un medio para obtener algo de dinero extra para mi familia. Una vez fui una madre que se quedaba en casa. Mi otra tienda de Etsy, The Thread Junky, se hizo popular, pero hacer pulseras de amistad puede llevar mucho tiempo con muy pocas recompensas. Sin embargo, en ese momento cualquier cosa era mejor que nada.
Aproximadamente un año después de las pulseras de amistad entré en contacto con el hilo de la camiseta. Al principio comencé a comprarlo, luego pensé cuánto más barato sería hacerlo yo mismo. Aprendí a hacer ganchillo y encontré un tutorial sobre el corte de hilo de camiseta. Después de hacer un par de alfombras intenté vender el hilo cortado. Fue muy popular.
Después de muchos años de quedarme en casa con mis hijos, finalmente he podido regresar a la escuela y terminar mi carrera de enseñanza. ¡Me gradué en mayo de 2016 y conseguí un trabajo de inmediato enseñando a estudiantes de 3er grado! Durante el año escolar, mi suministro puede ser limitado, ¡pero los veranos estarán llenos de hilo!
I started Etsy as a means for some extra money for my family. I was once a stay at home mom. My other Etsy shop The Thread Junky became popular, but making friendship bracelets can be very time consuming with very little rewards. However, at the time anything was better than nothing.
About a year after friendship bracelets I came into contact with T-shirt yarn. At first I started buying it, then thought how much cheaper it would be to make myself. I taught myself to crochet and found a tutorial on cutting t-shirt yarn. After making a couple rugs I attempted to sell the cut yarn. It was very popular.
After many years of staying at home with my children, I have finally been able to return back to school and finish my teaching degree. I graduated in May 2016 and got a job right away teaching 3rd graders! During the school year, my supply may be limited, but summers will be full of yarn making!
