From Sketch to Final Product
Je suis un programmeur informatique à la retraite et j’ai enfin beaucoup de temps pour l’artisanat. J’ai quitté mon emploi de haute technologie, de stress et de longs trajets en 2009 et je me suis installé dans un petit hameau de la frontière sud des Catskills. Je suis donc devenu un artisan à temps plein! Mon sens exceptionnel du style et de la couleur a été façonné par la tradition du tricot allemand / russe. Avec de bonnes compétences en dessin, une solide formation en mathématiques et plus de 50 ans d’expérience en tricot, je suis capable de créer un tricot avec les plus hautes précisions. Récemment, j’ai acheté un métier à tisser pour ajouter des écharpes et des châles tissés à la main à ma collection.
J’aime les lignes simples mais élégantes dans ma conception et j’utilise du fil de haute qualité pour le tricot, le crochet et le tissage. Tous mes tricots sont fabriqués avec une grande attention aux détails. Les détails sont le point saillant.
I'm a retired computer programmer and finally have plenty of time for crafting. I left my high-tech, high-stress, long-commute job in 2009 and settled in a small hamlet in the south boarder of the Catskills. So, I became a full time crafter! My exceptional sense of style and color was shaped by the German/Russian knitting tradition. With good drawing skills, strong math background and over 50 years of knitting experience I am able to create a knitwear with the highest precisions. Recently I bought a loom to add hand woven scarfs and shawls to my collection.
I like simple yet elegant lines in my design and use high quality yarn for knitting, crochet and weaving. All my knitwear is made with a great attention to details. Details are the salient point.
